TotalMobile customers, Alliance Homes are preparing to take part in an ambitious cycle ride from Portishead to Paris to raise vital funds to support local people in urgent need.

11 cyclists and two support staff will take part in the gruelling 250km cycle ride in July, with the aim of raising £5000 for the Alliance Homes Charitable Fund. The fund aims to provide ‘a small amount when it counts’ with up to £75 worth of goods. For those in real need, support is often as simple as providing basic equipment such as a kettle, a chair, a bed or a blanket but it can make a huge difference to someone’s life.

Mike Nicholls at Alliance Homes said, “The fund means that our employees are able to provide those in urgent need with up to £75 worth of essential goods and equipment, without which many people in the local community would find themselves in a much harder position”.

£2000 has already been raised from corporate sponsorship with the main sponsors including Shaw Consulting, Northgate Public Services and Total Mobile, secondary sponsors are County Contractors and Jones Building Group. The team now hope to raise a further £3000 from their ambitious cycle ride, which will enable over 65 people to benefit from the Charitable Fund.
