New contract will equip 1,100 staff across 145+ sites with real-time, field-ready solutions to streamline operations
SYDNEY, AUS – July 16 2025 – Totalmobile has signed a five-year agreement with Coates, Australia’s leading equipment hire and solutions provider, to modernise how branch, workshop, field and support teams operate across the country.
Coates will deploy Totalmobile’s Field First platform to replace a range of legacy systems and improve operational insight into its nationwide operations. Over 1,100 operational staff across more than 145 branches and workshops will use the platform to streamline and enhance fleet and asset repairs and maintenance activities, job scheduling, and reduce admin tasks. Additionally, the platform will enhance the tracking and completion of tasks in branches and on client sites.
“We’re working with organisations that want to strip out complexity and get back to what matters most, helping people on the ground deliver great service,” said Phil Race, Chief Executive Officer at Totalmobile. “Coates had a clear goal to improve how work gets done without adding more layers in the mix. That’s where our platform fits in, and we’re excited to be playing a part in their journey.”

“Our people are based at branches and sites across Australia, often working in remote or challenging environments to support our customers wherever they need us. We needed a platform that would bring everything together and increase productivity while also reducing the admin workload of our team,” said Peter Davis, Executive General Manager, Asset Services at Coates. “Totalmobile’s Field First platform gives us the balance and operational insights we need. It’s innovative, scalable, and importantly, easy for our people to use.”

This marks a significant investment in how work is planned, delivered, and recorded in Coates branches and on thousands of their customers’ sites, providing teams on the ground with crucial real-time access to the information they need, when they need it, and helping more jobs get done with fewer delays.
This latest partnership for Totalmobile follows the launch of its Field First platform, the only platform designed for the real-world demands of global field operations. As organisations like Coates invest in smarter, more connected services, Field First is quickly becoming the standard for how frontline work is delivered.
