Council adopts new capabilities within the Field First platform to improve scheduling, efficiency and care coordination

BELFAST, UK – 30 April 2026 – Worcestershire County Council has partnered with Totalmobile to strengthen the delivery of its Home First services, introducing new digital capabilities designed to support care teams, streamline scheduling and improve coordination across services. Home First plays a vital role in helping residents across the county regain independence and return home safely after a hospital stay, making responsive and well-organised care essential.

The new capabilities sit within Totalmobile’s Field First platform, bringing scheduling, mobile working and real-time reporting together in a single connected environment. This will help the Council organise care more effectively, ensuring the right staff are in the right place at the right time while keeping the focus firmly on residents’ wellbeing.

Morgan Price, Head of Home First at Worcestershire County Council, said:

“Demand on Home First moves quickly, so the way we organise visits has to keep pace. Our previous system wasn’t giving us the level of optimisation we needed. What appealed to us about Totalmobile was the ability to schedule care more intelligently and remove the duplication our teams were dealing with. It means we can make better use of the capacity we already have and focus our time where it matters most – supporting our residents.”

– Morgan Price, Head of Home First at Worcestershire County Council

The platform will support around 250 frontline care and office staff, helping coordinate care for approximately 8,500 residents supported through Worcestershire’s Reablement Service across the county every year.

Ricky Moore, Managing Director of Public Sector at Totalmobile, said:

“Reablement services like Home First are becoming increasingly important as councils and the NHS work together to support people leaving hospital. When care is organised well in the community, people recover more comfortably at home and hospitals can focus on those who need acute treatment. We’re proud to support Worcestershire in strengthening that model and helping their teams deliver the kind of responsive, coordinated care residents deserve.”

– Ricky Moore, Managing Director of Public Sector at Totalmobile

Across the UK, councils are placing greater emphasis on reablement services that help people recover at home and regain independence after a hospital stay. Totalmobile is seeing this shift first-hand as more local authorities invest in digital solutions that help care teams organise support more effectively and make better use of their existing capacity.
