Totalmobile is delighted that our customer, Translink, the leading public transport provider in Northern Ireland, have recently launched our mobile working solution to improve maintenance and health and safety.

Translink is utilising Totalmobile’s mobile working solution for “Work Orders” which are sent from their back-office system; visits are now created automatically and actively enable adequate health and safety standards by providing field based staff with the mobile tools to track maintenance. Implementing mobile working has unlocked new automated capabilities such as submitted forms, which are now automatically emailed to relevant departments upon completion. Completed visits automatically update the “Work Order” in their back office system, giving the organisation greater visibility of work that has been completed throughout the day.

We will continue to work alongside the Translink team to roll out the solution across further teams and support them as they continue their mobile working journey.

“Translink are pleased to be utilising mobile working from Totalmobile and realising the benefits for the organisation and users. With the availability of all information on the device, paper records and storage are removed, providing us with a reduction in repair times. We now have the ability to predict faults through analysis of readings previously stored remotely.” – David Buchanan, Signalling Standards & Compliance Engineer

Jim Darragh, CEO, Totalmobile commented: “Totalmobile have been working with Translink to develop an innovative mobile working solution that improves the recording of health and safety information and enables field staff to monitor active repairs in real time. We look forward to working closely with the Translink, one of Northern Ireland’s highest profile organisations, as they continue to realise the benefits available from mobile working technology.”
