New technology will scale to up to 950 users as Fife HSCP builds on care programme that has already increased service capacity by more than 30%
Fife Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) is expanding its award-winning partnership with field service management technology provider Totalmobile, introducing further technology across Adults Services Resources in a phased programme that will scale to up to 950 users.
The latest phase builds on an established relationship between the organisations, which has already seen Totalmobile technology rolled out to around 900 care workers and helped create an additional 1,713 hours of service capacity every week.
Through Dynamic Scheduling, Mobile Working, Lone Worker Protection and Field Service Intelligence, Fife HSCP will bring scheduling, frontline activity, service information and reporting into a more joined-up environment. Teams working across communities will be able to access and capture information wherever their working day takes them, with online and offline functionality helping maintain continuity when connectivity is unavailable.

The programme will introduce more dynamic scheduling across Adults Services Resources, where some schedules can currently require two members of staff for a full working day to produce. Teams will be able to respond more easily to changes as they happen, while reducing duplicate data entry and providing managers with a clearer view of service activity and progress.
It will also strengthen support for employees working independently across the community. Lone Worker Protection will provide additional safeguards for teams carrying out visits away from traditional workplace settings, while giving the wider service greater visibility and reassurance as colleagues work across different locations and at different times of day.

The new programme builds on significant results already achieved through Fife and Totalmobile’s work together. The technology has supported more than three million care visits and delivered £2.35 million in annual savings through reduced mileage and the removal of paper-based processes. The partnership was also recognised with the Technology Enabled Independent Living Award at the 2026 Digital Health and Care Scotland Awards.
The first phase is scheduled to go live this week, with the rollout ultimately scaling to up to 950 people across Fife Adults Services Resources.
