The G-Cloud framework is a cross-government initiative from the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) that allows UK public sector organisations to easily compare and procure a range of IT services; helping those organisations to spend effectively and intelligently. It supports the Government’s policy to centrally manage the procurement of services through an integrated commercial function.

G-Cloud 6 is now live, boasting 516 new suppliers who have signed up to provide cloud services to government. The latest iteration of the G-Cloud framework brings the total number of cloud suppliers to 1,852 on the Digital Marketplace, the government’s storefront for all public sector cloud procurement, according to the Government Digital Service (GDS).
