We’re excited to introduce Field First: Blackstairs, the latest milestone for our dedicated field service management platform.

Field First: Blackstairs marks the start of our new Mountain Launch rhythm: quarterly, platform-wide upgrades that data and user management enhancements to our capabilities, and sector-specific innovation, together as one connected release.

Each Mountain Launch moves the platform forward as a whole with the goal of simplifying business readiness, ensuring every capability evolves in step, and giving you a predictable, unified path to innovation.

From Product Suite to Platform

Since launching the Field First Platform in June 2025, our vision has remained clear: bring every capability, dataset, and workflow together to deliver a seamless platform experience for field service management. The day-1 Ben Gorm release introduced Field First Hub — the central gateway to the Field First platform, connecting teams to all licensed and deployed Totalmobile capabilities.

Now, with Blackstairs, that gateway evolves with a centralised command centre for user management and platform-role administration. Administration is simplified, access is unified, and user security is strengthened.

One Identity, Everywhere

Add a user once. Field First automatically synchronises their access across every deployed capability, removing the historic duplication and siloes that existed when managing user profiles to reduce complexity and improve control.

Simplified Administration

Manage profiles, permissions, and provisioning centrally within Field First Hub. New search, filtering, and profile enhancements make it easier to find, update, and govern users at scale.

Enterprise-Grade User Profiles

Field First: Blackstairs introduces significant updates to the user profile system. These changes include read-only fields for SCIM provisioned users, enhanced search and filtering capabilities, the addition of user status indicators, and the separation of email and username fields for improved flexibility.

Integrated Across Capabilities

Every user identity is now governed through a consistent platform identity layer with the goal of streamlining onboarding, offboarding, and auditability. Before Field First, this was quite a siloed activity across our capabilities. With Blackstairs, this now unified in one view, creating a seamless experience for both administrators who manage users across the enterprise Totalmobile deployment.
