600 colleagues go live on Totalmobile’s Field First platform as the housing provider strengthens repairs services for 250,000 residents

Totalmobile has successfully deployed its Field First platform to over 600 colleagues at L&Q, supporting the housing association’s drive to improve the way repairs are managed across more than 106,000 homes in England.

The rollout will see 600 L&Q colleagues use the field service management platform, giving teams better access to information in the field and L&Q a clearer view of repairs activity across the homes it manages.

This marks a significant milestone in L&Q’s wider Transformation Portfolio, which is seeing it improve how it operates to deliver more joined up, reliable and consistent services for residents.

By extending its use of Totalmobile technology to bring Job Management, Dynamic Scheduling and Mobile Working together, the rollout will give L&Q teams faster access to the information they need to manage and resolve repairs while creating a more consistent view of repairs activity across the organisation.

Vicki Sanderson, Director of Maintenance Services at L&Q said:

We’re focused on addressing the issues residents tell us are most important, including improving how we manage repairs.

“By investing in technology like Totalmobile, we can enable our teams to respond faster, communicate better and put more things right on the first visit. This is a major step forward in our drive to ensure everyone has a safe, well-maintained home and services they can rely on.”

– Vicki Sanderson, Director of Maintenance Services at L&Q

At an organisational level, the technology will give L&Q greater visibility of demand, workforce capacity and repairs activity, helping teams make better-informed decisions about how work is allocated, and resources are deployed. It will also integrate with L&Q’s housing management and finance systems, creating a more connected flow of information across the wider organisation.

For residents, bringing these processes and information together will support a more joined-up repairs experience, helping L&Q keep people better informed as work progresses and deliver a more consistent service across its homes.

At the scale L&Q operates, even relatively small improvements in how repairs are planned, communicated and completed can make a meaningful difference to thousands of residents and the teams serving them.

“Our relationship with L&Q has developed over a number of years, so reaching this milestone is about building on what we already know about its teams, its operations, and the scale of the repairs service it delivers. Bringing scheduling and service delivery together is an important next step, and we’re looking forward to supporting L&Q as it puts its new approach into practice.”

– David Webb, Managing Director for Housing and Facilities Management at Totalmobile

The programme further strengthens Totalmobile’s work with housing providers across the UK, where its technology supports over 50% of the UK’s leading housing associations in the complex challenge of coordinating large field workforces while maintaining safe, responsive and resident-focused services.
